Textile solutions to international standards
Krempel has a wide range of textile machinery for braiding, knitting and weaving fabric tapes, insulating sleevings and cords. These textile products are required for electrical equipment and transformers. Insulating sleevings, fabric tapes and cords are braided, knitted or woven from glass, polyester or blended yarns and extruded from silicone elastomers.
Textile fibre-based sleevings can also be impregnated or coated with silicone, acrylic or polyurethane resins. Glass or polyester fillings are also possible. The quality of the sleevings complies with BS, IEC, ASTM and NEMA standards. Various types are also CSA or UL approved.

Material and technological expertise
Krempel relies on high-performance materials such as glass fibre, polyester and aramid. Whilst glass fibre offers the highest temperature and insulation properties, polyester provides flexible and robust protective solutions. Aramid is used where there are increased requirements for fire protection and strength. Modern manufacturing processes such as braiding, weaving and knitting enable precise adaptation to every application.
Coatings & Finishing
The use of silicone, acrylic or epoxy resins allows the products to be specifically optimised. Silicone offers high temperature resistance and flexibility, acrylic offers cost-effectiveness and robustness, and epoxy offers high mechanical strength. This ensures that electrical, thermal and mechanical requirements are met to the highest standard.
